From January 25th, 2010 through February 8th, 2010, CD Baby will donate $1 from every sale of one of my CD's to Haitian relief. I'm matching that with $1 of my own, to double the donation. That makes this a great time to by an album you don't have yet, or get one as a gift for a loved one.

Podcast creator Marc Gunn has been gracious enough to feature another cut from "The Perfect Pint" on podcast #72. In August, podcast #70 featured a cut with Adam Alexander and I covering the traditional tune, "Roddy McCorley". This time, one of my originals has been featured - "Killarga Bay".

Joe is in the beginning stages of work on a live CD, compiling cuts from live performances over the last year or so. Two cuts, "Lotto" and "Hit the Wind", sung live at this years 5th Annual Songwriter's Beat Festival, are posted for listening on the "Listen to Music" page!

Joe's songs "Art of War" and "Call It America", both of which have ranked consistently high since joining the list more than a year ago, are now in the Top 1% of Young's online collection of topical songs. "Songs of the Times", now sporting over 3100 songs, is ranked by popularity - the more plays, the closer to #1!! "Art of War" is now at #28, and "Call It America" is at #31.

Joe's latest CD "The Perfect Pint" is featured on the latest edition of "The Irish and Celtic Music Podcast" - one of the most popular music podcasts on iTunes!! Podcast #70 includes the cut "Roddy McCorley, sung by Joe and baritone Adam Alexander. Check it out on iTunes, or at celticmusicpodcast.com

Celtic MP3s Music Magazine (a weekly online magazine connected with the Irish and Celtic Music Podcast hosted by Mark Gunn) has given a rave review to this CD which features me and singer Adam Alexander, calling us "quite a team" and describing the CD as bringing us "to the forefront of this genre". They also offered praise for the "amazing originals" on the CD.

The 4th Annual St. Patrick's Day Sing-along, held last night at the Parkside Lounge, was a big success! We had a great crowd, and a terrific new line-up, with Aaron Jonah Lewis on fiddle and banjo and Christal Rice on flute and whistle joining Adam Alexander and me. It was also the CD release party for "The Perfect Pint", the new CD, which includes lots of the songs we've been singing these past few years.

The new CD, with baritone Adam Alexander, sounds great! It's a compilation of the some of the tunes from our past "St. Patrick's Day Sing - alongs", including traditional songs and some of my more Irish flavored originals. It'll be online soon!

Adam Alexander and I are headed into the studio today to begin work on our CD of favorite Irish tunes. It'll be ready to go by our concert on 3/14!!

This year's St. Paddy's Day sing-along will feature two new players: Christal Rice on flute and tin whistle, and Aaron Lewis on fiddle and banjo.
Christal's been around the Irish music scene for a while, playing with The Wayfarers and opening for bands like Boys of the Lough. Aaron's an award winning fiddle player just back from the Celtic Connections festival in Galsgow. These incredibly talented folks will join forces with me and baritone Adam Alexander, so you're in for a terrific night of Irish music.
